XVII

XVII is the seventeenth album by Danger Painters and the 4th album in the past 13 months. Danger Painters began in 2008 as the project of Michael Barron and Bob Boilen, founding members of the D.C. band Tiny Desk Unit from the late 1970s. For years starting in 2008, we’d create a new album every February, part of the RPM Challenge, to make an album in a month. That was true of making this album. Recorded all through files exchange from locations in Santa Monica, CA, Silver Spring, MD, Shohola, PA, New York, NY, & Brooklyn, NY It was all done writing, recording mixing, artwork etc. between February 1 and February 28, 2021
