Coming to NPR in 1988 was a shocker. The place I held in such high regard as a fan was an utterly horrifying ugly filthy mess. The people were amazing, the journalism top notch, but the chairs, OH MY! What a disaster.
WHEN I CAME TO NPR IN 1988, I WAS APPALLED BY THE FURNITURE, PARTICULARLY THE CHAIRS. I GOT MY CAMERA AND SHOT, NO EDITS BEYOND TURNING THE CAMERA ON AND OFF.
